Unlike in many larger Polish cities, English is not spoken at all in Wambierzyce. Menus, signs etc. are often in German.
Starting on the church grounds, continuing across the street and finishing on a hill overlooking the town are life-sized representations of Calvary.
Follow signs to the '''Szopka'''- a collection of tiny, mechanized scenes built and painted entirely by hand. These are hundreds of years old but still in working order.
Follow the small dirt road to the left of Hotel Wambierzyce to the '''skansen''', which is regionally famous. It has a petting zoo, toy museum, old farm tools exhibit, and in-house restaurant. It also provides quite cheap and comfortable accommodations.
Follow signs for the "skansen/agroturystyka" to the left of Hotel Wambierzyce. Cheap but comfortable, with a petting zoo and attached skansen to boot!
