Arcot is 70 miles south of Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu. Arcot is situated on the National Highway which connects Chennai and Bangalore. In addition, many buses ply to/from Arcot to the important cities in Tamil Nadu, like Kancheepuram, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, Chidambaram, Thanjavur etc.
