If you are flying in to see family, rent a car. Regional Transit is not that effective, and not really safe (The local youth's can be a bit annoying before and after school hours on the bus.) Traffic is usually pretty good around town, weekends are when the traffic is at it's worst.
See
Their isn't much to "see" here. It's a residential area. Gibson Ranch, when the civil war re enactment is on, can be fun.
If you really like seeing trains, this is a great place.
Do
Their isn't really much to "do" in Antelope. It is a residential area. Their are many local parks, however youth enjoy hanging out in these areas, especially after school, and they are not always model citizens.
Buy
The local Wal-Mart has most needs. Their is the Win-Co Foods, and it's a good place to get most food items. It is busy, so be ready to park in the back of the lot.
Enjoyable shopping can be found in Roseville at the Galleria Mall.
Eat
The usual fast food stops are in Antelope, however there is a Perkos on Watt Ave. Avoid the Taco Bell during after school hours, the amount of youths is out of control, and the county sheriff is almost powerless to stop them.
Drink
No bars in Antelope, Roseville is the nearest stop for good drinks.
Sleep
Their are no hotels or motels in Antelope. You most likely will be staying in Roseville or North Highlands (Not recommended due to extremely high crime rate)

Antelope is known to have a crime rate. Before & after school hours is the worst, due to the amount of youths roming around. Avoid the intersections of Elverta & Watt after 7pm, due to the amount of homeless, who will get upset if you do not provide them with money. Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is the main Law Enforcement presence in Antelope, call 911 for emergencies and (916) 874-5115 for non-emergencies.
