There is no commercial air service to Cooma.
There's really not a lot to do in Cooma at any time of the year. It's mostly just a quick stop-off point. During the snow season a lot of people stop through for a rest and a bite to eat or a coffee, or to pick up ski and snowboard hire which is cheaper than at the snowfields and of a [s]similar[/s] better quality.
There are a few opportunities to rent or buy ski equipment before getting to the snow
Next to the visitor information centre situated next to the large park in the middle of town, is a cafe that makes huge and tasty burgers with 20 to 30 different varieties, and all under $10, with the rather prominent draw back that their hygiene is seriously sub-standard - the locals know to avoid it.
You can't go past East End Cafe. Bright orange, next to the second hand bookshop.
To the Snowy Mountains.
