Evesham has a (if slightly outdated) train station, and many bus's enter Evehsam on a regular basis

See

The main tourist attraction is the historic bell tower, a reminent of the monestry which (untill henry the 8th)was one of the largest in the country. The aptly named abby park makes for a good walk, and there are events there occasionly, such as the party in the park, often held on gcse results day.

Do

Hire a boat and paddle around the river in the centre of the town, Or take a visit to the Almondry, a museum dedicated to Eveshams colourful history, including the Battle of Evesham.

Buy

Evesham is not famous for its shopping, but there is still a great high street, and many nice little independant shops, the largest of which being Magpie Antiques, which dispite the name also sells toys and collectables and is great for souvenirs. The town has two markets, one indoor which is open most days, and sells everything from electricals to sweets, and one outdoor market, which is held in the town square on saturdays, and varies by week.

Eat

Evesham has many fine resturants, and some not so fine. The Evesham hotel has a very nice buffet lunch and dinner, and the River Avon chinese resturant is very good. Of course, it has its fair share of fast food too.

Drink

Evesham has many pubs for a town its size, and they are a great way to meet the locals. There is also a hand full of night clubs.

Sleep

  • Evesham Hotel [http://www.zen37209.zen.co.uk/] Fine if not cheap hotel in centre of town. Run by an eccentric owner, it has won awards for its toilets. It is also known as the teddy bear hotel. The wine list has hundeds of entries, but none from France or Germany.
