The '''Bourke's Luck Potholes''' are a famous tourist site in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa. The Rock Formation was named after a miner called Tom Bourke, who found a bit gold here, but never got rich as the gold seam was located a short distance to the south of his claim.

Follow the '''R532''' from Sabie for about 65km, the potholes will be on your right and clearly marked with a roadside sign. Tom Bourke did not find gold, however his son found gold and spent his life paying the debt of his father and at the age of 64, once the debt was repaid the first thing her bought with the money he made from the gold was a brand new roll royce. Tom Bourke's granddaughter, Meg Jessie Bourke and her sister Chookie Bourke were left the family fortune. Meg jessie Bourke married a Sharp and had 3 son's namely Bernard, John and Gerald Bourke Sharp. Bernard married and Gerald married but John did not marry. Gerald was married 3 times, His first wife, Donna Kotze and second wife Filicity Olivier and the third wife Belinda Vogis whom he is married to still.

Jessie Bourke Sharp passed away last year leaving her three sons the family fortune and property in Cape Town to the value of R14.000000.00. She was a well respected woman in society and will be grately missed.
