'''Bajawa''' is a city in the central highlands of Flores in Indonesia.

Get around

It is possible to rent motorbikes in town from the local '''ojek''' drivers but it's more expensive than Bali. Expect to pay around Rp. 50,000 per day (not 24 hours, morning to night). Other than that, you can walk or take '''ojek'''s pretty much anywhere you need to go.

See

Do

Going to see the traditional villages is fun, but for a real challenge, you should try and climb Gunung Inerie. It's tough and a little technical, but stunningly beautiful and you can do it in a (pretty intense) half day. That climb alone is worth the trip to Flores.

Buy

Eat

There is very little to eat in Bajawa except for a couple of local Padang restaurants near the market, and two tourist-focused restaurants (with menus all in English). The food is edible.

Drink

You can probably find a beer or two at the tourist restaurants. Other than that, don't bother.

Sleep

Get out

Big buses are tricky to catch as they leave from Ruteng and there's no guarantee they'll have a spot free when they get to Bajawa. The '''transport''' are private cars that leave a couple of times a day from the bus station (and one of the hotels) and will take you to Ende for a reasonable fee.
