'''Around Brasilia by subway''' is an alternative to commonplace sightseeing in Brasilia.
Understand
Brasilia's subway wasn't exactly built with tourism in mind. It can, however, work as an interesting escape route from the government/architecture tourist beaten track.
The city's simple subway network starts right at the city centre and extends for many quilometres into the "sattelite cities" of Ceilandia and Samambaia. With a few stops and cheap fares, it is possible to get to know a lesser known side of the city and easily kill a day at Brazil's capital.
Prepare
Before going, remember to have:
Pocket money in '''small bills''' or coins - the Metro doesn't accept credit cards and won't give change above R$ 20
Comfortable '''walking shoes''' - some of the attractions in this itinerary may be as far as a 10-15 min walk from the stations, so leave the high heels at the hotel.
'''Sunscreen''' - Yes, you'll be travelling underground, but above the subway escalators Brasilia is nearly always sunny and you might want to add some protection.
