The place worth visiting in Arcadia is the Arcadia Historical Museum - run by volunteers, it is one of the best run facilities describing the history of a town that I've seen! If you have Manistee county relatives who may have lived in the area, you can find out about them here. We bought a house in this town and had no idea that one of my relatives had been a caretaker of some property just south of Arcadia lake! The Arcadia Historical museum is very low key in asking for donations (ie.. they don't) but just the same, if you visit, throw in the bowl what you think the visit is worth.

Well first, "The Big Apple" has very good burgers and probably the best deal is the chicken caesar salad - real bacon, lots of chicken. The place looks like a dive from the outside and isn't much better on the inside - but hey, it's about the basics in life without pretention - pretty much sums up Arcadia.
Secondly, head across the street to the Marina/GiftShop/Ice Cream Shop for really great ice cream and the latest in Arcadia gossip!
In the morning, the breakfasts at the restaurant just north of these two is quite good. Everyone of these places has pretty good service and god knows, they need the business!!!! Sooo, come to Arcadia!!
