Get In

Drive from Melbourne to Frankston, then down the Mornington Peninsula, passing through Mornington and Rosebud. There is only one major road down the peninsula, so you won't get lost. At the end of the peninsula you will arrive in Sorrento, where the regular ferry will take you across the mouth of the bay to Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula. Drive down the freeway to Geelong, and then back to Melbourne passing through Werribee.

See

The Mornington Peninsula is a popular tourist destination during the summer months. The inward side of the peninsula is lined with sandy '''beaches''', sheltered by the bay and providing a safe, if somewhat polluted, bathing spot for families with small children. The ocean side of the peninsula is also beach-lined, and these are popular with surfers.

Several small boutique '''wineries''' have been opened up on the peninsula in recent years.

At the very end of the peninsula is Point Nepean. If you have the time, this is a very interesting place to visit. Nearby is a natural rock formation called London Bridge, which is also well worth a visit especially at low tide.
