'''El Valle de Anton''' is a town in El Cocle, Panama.

El Valle de Anton is located in floor of an old extinct volcanic crater which serves as a nice weekend getaway from the heat and humidity of Panama City and the beaches. It is ringed with scenic mountains such as El Gaital.

There is a large indian market on sundays, where various local crafts are displayed.

Some of the local attractions are El Nispero, a local private zoo, a large waterfall called "El Macho", and a grove of square trees (the trunks are square, though no one is quite sure why)....

  • In general accommodation is quite expensive in El Valle. Cheapest options start around 15 US$ per night/person.
  • Budget camping is available at ''Swami's Camping''. Ask for directions at the tourist info in town center. They are going to give you a map with an exact direction. The owner is a relaxed Rasta with lots of spiritual experiences mostly from India. Absolutely worth to meet!
