'''Cavalcante''' is a city in Goias, Brazil.

Get in

Cavalcante is 320 km north of Brasilia, on the north side of the national park Chapada dos Veadeiros. It is somewhat remote, an area with some tremendous hiking trails and waterfalls, but some of the best waterfalls are as far away as 60 km on a dirt road from Cavalcante. There are basically two options for the tourist who wants to visit the waterfalls. After flying into Brasilia, take the bus from the rodoviaria(bus station) in the city center, empresa (company) Santo Antonio. It's a slow 6 hour bus ride to Cavalcante, but there you will find pousadas, restaurantes, pousada owners and guides who speak English. You can also find transportation to the waterfalls. The other option is, rent a car at the airport in Brasilia, it will run you about $300 for a week, and drive to Cavalcante. There are english speaking guides available to meet you at the airport if you need help with the language.
