Neighbourhoods

Tarn?veni is splited in two important areas the old side of the city with the City Center were we can also fiind the neighbourhoods Republicii, Nicolae B?lcescu, Frumoasei, Viitorului, P?cii, ?oimilor; and the area of Bozia? old village witch in 1964 become part of the city with the neighbourhoods: Armatei ?i Zorilor.

Other neighbourhoods are: 1 Decembrie placed on the road going to Targu Mure?, Dezrobiri placed on the road going to Blaj on the industrial area of the city. Between city center and Bozia? were bild the neighbourhoods: George Enescu, Tineretului and Victoriei. And Botorca and Cu?telnic neighbourhoods witch are two villages now part of the city.

Tarn?veni (''Dics?szentmarton'' in hungarian, ''Sankt Martin'' in german, ''Tycheum Sent Marton'' in latin) is the 82' largest city in Romania, with 26.000 inhabitants. Placed in the center-nord of the country, and in the center of Transylvania, nearby the Carpathian Mountains in Transylvanian plateau.

In late Midle Ages more acurate on 1278, the land was documentary attested with the name of Sent Marton, or in the latin language, the official language of that times, "terra Tycheum Sent Marton".

The area has a nice landscape, hills separated by Tarnava Mic? River.

In the city as in all the region, the official language is romanian. But because near 20 % of the local inhabitants ar hungarian minority the hungarian language is also speaked here.

    There is the no. 307 magistrala that connects Tarnaveni to the national railway on the no. 300, in Blaj Arad, Timi?oara, Bra?ov, Sighi?oara, Ploie?ti and Bucharest, now the trains that are used here are part of RC-CF Trans S.R.L Bra?ov entreprise.
