One of the world's most consistent left-hand surfing reefbreaks, '''Grajagan''' was first surfed in 1972. A few years later a rickety bamboo treehouse was built on the beach bordering this remote National Park on Java's south-east tip. These days there are 3 basic surfcamps between the wild jungle and kilometre-long coral reef. Permission to stay at G-Land must be obtained from the park rangers in advance, which is handled by the surf camp management. Contact details of the camps are listed in the [http://www.indosurf.com.au/ '''Indo Surf and Lingo''']guidebook
