'''Vidareidi''' is a village in Vidoy in the northern Faroe Islands.

Get in

Bus from Klaksvik The car ride from Torshavn is the longest journey possible on the islands without using a ferry and involes several tunnels, including a toll tunel from Eysturoy to Bordoy and two long ones with right of way in one direction (passing places).

Get around

Walk. The peninsula is narrow enough to enable easy access to the sea on both sides. For strong walkers, there is a fine cirque leading toa ridge to the end of the island.

See

  • '''Moorings on both sides''' - what a contrast! On one side, where the church is, the Atlantic is placid; on the other it's like - the Atlantic!
  • '''The Church''' - although this is similar to most other churches on the islands, it's worth seeing for its silver, which includes a salver presented by the British Government for help to sailors rescued from a wreck in the mid 19th century
