Construction of Idaho's third LDS temple has been underway in Rexburg since 2004, and is scheduled to be completed in 2007.
Rexburg is close to the St. Anthony Sand Dunes, the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons.
The serving of hard liquors has been prohibited since 1947, and the predominantly LDS culture has left the city with no nightclubs, bars, or coffee shops. Restrictions on sales of alcohol have recently been eased as the city has grown, and it is now possible to purchase beer and wine at some restaurants.
