[http://www.ttline.com/ TT-Line] operates daily ferry trips between Travemunde and Trelleborg, Sweden. During the summer time and on public holidays the ferries are very well booked. Make sure you have a reservation. Several ferries and cargo ships travel to ports in the Baltic Sea and especially in the summer they are willing to take travellers on board.
The best way to get around is by bike or foot.

There are a lot of holiday apartements for rent. During summer this town is very busy and reservations are essential. If you don't plan to stay for at least a week, hotels are an other option
If you are on budget, better stay in Lubeck because Travemunde isn't cheap and choices are much smaller. Brodten and in Lubeck you find a youth hostel.
